Hannah and a Movie

We have said it so many times but it is
amazing to see all the changes that Hannah does on a
daily basis!  Take today for instance,
Karon and I were shopping and Hannah had slipped
her thumb in her mouth and started going to town
on it.  She has never done that before, no
matter how we have tried to get her to do it.
But in true Hannah form she has not done it again,
probably because she knows I have a camera
ready to strike the second she does it!

Some of the pictures below will show you what she
is doing.  She has many more facial
expressions now as well, I swear she has rolled her
eyes at us a few times.  My sister told me it starts
early I just thought it was a bit too early!  She can
also sit up all by herself now!  She went from 5 minutes
by herself to a couple hours!  And that all happened in
one weeks time!

She is on the verge of rolling from
her back to her tummy, but when she is about to do it
I get really excited and she rolls back to see what all the
fuss is about.

An example of her sitting on her own.  I believe
this is the first time for an extended period.  The pillow behind
her is there in case she falls backward.  She still falls back when she
sees something behind that she wants and she goes for it.
This picture is for Auntie Mel, to see she is reading
her ladybug and turtle books!
She does a great job in her highchair!
The next few are some pictures of her
many faces!  It is funny how some
make her face look really round and others....
well round but not as round...
She was chatting in this one, she still does not
chat for just anyone, sometimes she can be really shy!
a little grin

Daddy was playing by putting her
fish on her head, she did not realize it was there right away!
She also likes to eat the turtle's head from her
stuffed turtle book.  Here she is caught in action!
Showing off the sweater that Momma made her!
Her winter hat is about done as well!
Hannah playing and sitting!  Such talent!
And she was happy to be doing it!
You looking at me?  Of course you are!
I loved playing with color on the camera!
So sweet!
If she does not have a pacifier
in her mouth you will usually find her
fingers right there!

And another Hannah video.  Her sitting while she plays!  Enjoy!

Hannah has somthing to say

It has been a little bit since the last update.
Hannah is getting bigger by the day and her
sleep habits are changing quicker than I can figure
out how to help her or understand them!  It
seems that she is teething and based on the evidence
of this she may have started close to a month ago
already!  There are no teeth coming through as of yet,
but she has all the signs to show something is happening.
This has been the the culprit of her sleeping habits
going out the door!  Every night for the past few
nights she is waking up and not wanting to go
to sleep in her bed and she is usually up for a
minimum of 1 hour right in the middle of the night.
But this is just part of growing up, and growing up
a bit to fast!

She is also starting to sit up pretty well.  She can sit for
a minute or 2, maybe more at times with out
support.  She does this as long as there are
toys right in front of her at her reach.  That
is pretty exciting, I can not wait to be able to
sit face to face with her to play while she it sitting up!

She also is making sounds that sound like she is
saying her name and Da Da, unfortunately not Ma Ma yet.
I know that it just sounds like she is saying it,
it is probably just what I am making her sounds,
to sound like.  But she likes to chat with Adrian and
I, she does not chat to too many people.
She still loves to play in her exersaucer, here is evidence!
Then there is the look of "oh my what was that sound?"
Busy playing with mouse feet
more grins
She is really good at taking her pacifier in and out
of her mouth, sometimes she prefers the back of it
instead of the front.  And we also have to watch her
closely because she is close to getting the entire thing
into her mouth!
Hannah has two high chairs and she is test
driving out one and likes is pretty well!
Since she does well in it we decided
why not try it out for what it was meant for!
Yummy peas and pears!

And lastly here is some of her babbling!

Thank You Suanna

Today I got a call from Suanna (my sister for
those of you who do not know) to check my email
pronto.  She already knew the reason, obviously.  A few
weeks ago I had entered a contest through Suanna's
the link that describes the calendar and what the calendar
does for people.)  This is my first juried competition.  I have
had a quilt in a show here at home, but it was
not really a juried competition to get into the show
only juried for prizes.

Oddly enough I had never posted a picture of this quilt on the blog.
Well at least I could not find one.  So here is its debut I guess!
It is made from 100% cotton fabrics that are 1930's
reproduction fabrics and muslin.  And I hand quilted it
with cross country floss in off white and a shade of green.
The title of the quilt is "A Flower A Day..."

Thank you Suanna for encouraging me to enter
the quilt into the contest!  I am honored to have
it in the calendar!  I entered this quilt in honor of
two friends who are both fighting cancers right now,
Jen (Baldwin) Martin and Lindy (Vander Zwaag) VerBeek.
Both beautiful women who need prayers to beat
cancer and strength to do it and for their families!

A Churchin' We Will Go

Hannah was the right size to wear the outfit
that Mar Mar made her.  So she wore
it when we went to church on Sunday.
She just did not wear the bonnet to church.
She does not like to wear hats too well
in her car seat as they turn often with her
head one way and do not often follow her head
in the other way.  So here are pictures for Mar Mar
and for Trisha as she loves a baby in a bonnet!
She was being very photogenic Sunday so I took a few!

Hannah has more firsts

Hannahs' changing!  Well you know that
from looking at the pictures but she has learned
a few new tricks!
We have not been to the beach yet on a warm
day because it has been so stinking hot here this
summer.  But her Auntie Karon bought her a bathing
suit so we had to put it on and have some fun!
Just a sweet smile
Before Hannah ate some dinner, look how happy
she is to see Daddy at home and to be
somewhat clean!
This is not the first time that she has eaten
solid foods but it is the first time
she ate peas in her rice cereal!
She took a nap with Daddy and woke up with
a very sweaty head!  Wish there
was a better picture of this!  But her hair
was sticking up in all directions!
She likes to pull Momma's hair and she likes
to touch and pull, as best she can, Daddy's short hair.
The many faces of Hannah in her ExerSaucer.  This is
the snack tray portion and she looks like she is asking
for some food and drink, even though she is not quite sure
what food and drink means.
Ummmmm
Ahhhhhh
Hey get me out of here!  I am done in this seat!
The first time that she sat up for a minute
or two without us holding her up.  Yes the
seat helps a bit but she did the work!
Just playing!
We took Hannah to her first fair yesterday!  This
was about the happiest that she was then entire time!
We were hoping to get Hannah in the picture with the
tigers but it did not work out.
One of the reasons Adrian and I wanted to go
to the fair was the food, corn dogs and fries!  Too
much food for the both of us!
The look on Hannah's face when she woke up from her
nap at the fair!  It was fun to go but we are hoping the next
time she is not so freaked out by the lights, noise and all
the action!  Hopefully next time she will enjoy the
animals like I did!
